Originally from Istanbul, Karakter is a 21 year-old musician, artist, songwriter and producer. He is currently a business student in the UK.

A conversation between eastern storytelling and western production styles using MPC sampling techniques blended to lush and ambient sounds, Karakter’s sound is future cinematic, experimental and old school ; with the likes of Photay, Flying Lotus and foodman.

The 22-year-old artist/producer is the youngest member of Sony Music’s Epic Istanbul, influencing and promising a new generation of creators. During studying marketing in the UK, his earlier bedroom produced demos got discovery and support from BBC Introducing. He later pursued his training at Unis Academy Istanbul, leading to a Music Production and Technology degree at Berklee College of Music. Karakter showcased his audiovisual live performance recently at Valencia’s famous “Festival Les Arts” , AV Node Rome and Zorlu PSM Digilogue.

On his debut singles, Karakter tells the sonic stories of three creatures reflected from his imaginary world, in collaboration with a diverse style of vocal performers. The essence of all is to reflect the nature of different and independent species.

First track “Grass” is a psychedelic electronica, taking inspiration from natural habitats and landscapes, featuring the vocal collaboration of fellow Epic Records artist based in London; Glasxs.
